The weather theme I chose is meant for the second grade. The reason why weather is so fun is because weather is always changing and different each day. Weather gives students the opportunity to experience new and exciting information each and every day. It is important for students to have a knowledge base about weather so students know how to prepare for each day.
Standards to be addressed include:
Describe the weather characteristic out side
Describe the characteristics of sun, snow, rain, ext...
What clothing is appropriate to wear in specific weather conditions (ie: what should students where when it is sunny and what should students wear when it is snowy and cold)
When does certain weather occur, (ie: snow in winter, sun in the summer)
