Portfolio Assessment

"In the final evaluation of the efforts of men it is found that long practice in ‘putting their ideas across,’ in not only having good ideas but in being able to influence others by using and expressing them properly, is one of the crucial features of education." Modern Elementary School Practice, 1919.

Portfolio assessment is more than a catch phrase; it is a useful evaluation tool for children and teachers. Portfolios provide an opportunity to document achievements and to show others accomplishments and growth.
