Giving Oral Directions

Use the map to find the places described below:

1. Start at the Boat House (coordinates H-3).  Follow Lake View Drive east until you reach the Public Building Site and then turn north.  Turn east on Dakota Avenue.  Continue east as far as you possibly can and then turn south.  Turn west on the first possible avenue.  What avenue are you on?
2. Start on the north side of the Public Building Site (coordinates A-5).  Go west.  Turn south when the road forms a 'T'.  Turn east at Stanley Avenue.  Make a sharp turn southwest on the next avenue.  Follow the avenue as it curves around Block #4.  Turn west on Dakota Avenue.  Go as far west as you can.  Look south.  What do you see?
3. Start at the south side of the Hall in the Grove located in Block #11.  Go northwest.  Go north when the road forms a 'Y'.  Go west at the next intersection.  Go north at the second avenue.  Go east when the road forms a 'Y'.  What is straight ahead of you?
4. Start at the intersection of Williamson and Grove (coordinates A-7).  Go south.  Turn west at the third intersection.  Go southeast at the next run.  Go west on Stanley Avenue.  Turn southeast on Victoria Avenue and follow it around the Auditorium to Vincent Avenue.  Go south at Abbot Walk.  Turn east on Dakota Avenue and go until you read Block #10, Lot #8.  Look northeast.  What do you see?
