Lunchroom

In order to enjoy his noon meal leisurely and not have to hurry to school just after eating, the child should be permitted a full hour and a half at noon. Two hours would be better for growing children. Modern Elementary School Practice, 1919

The Lunchroom is a place where children can taste new foods, develop peer relationships, and set the nutritional habits that will last them a life time.  Lunch is sometimes thought of as someone else's job, but educators need to be aware of eating disorders, nutritional deficiencies, and fun ways to incorporate food into the curriculum.
