Many authors and illustrators have Internet Home Pages. You can often find them through their publishers web site or through a database such as those that are listed below. Another way to locate the author’s site is to try using their name as the URL. For instance, if you were looking for children’s author and illustrator, Jan Brett, try entering her name after the www. and ending with .com Example: http://www.janbrett.com

bulletThe Author Page – This site is part of the Internet Public Library and is an excellent directory of both author and illustrator web sites.  Young people can ask questions of authors and read the answer to questions others have asked.
bulletAuthors and Illustrators on the Web - This site is a great reference for children authors.  It lists all authors on the web in alphabetical order and gives you links to their home pages.
bulletInvite an Author - This website has links to children's book authors who speak at schools, plus information on planning a successful author visit.
