Why not take your students to the zoo, too. Visit some of the world’s most famous zoos and see animals from all over the globe.

Cute Panda BearZoo Atlanta, Atlanta, GA. Founded in 1889, it is one of the 10 oldest zoos in continuous operation in the United States. The zoo's collection consists of nearly 1,000 specimens, representing 250 species of animals from all over the world, living in natural environments.

bulletThe National Zoo, Washington, D.C. Take a your ticketless trip to the Smithsonian Institution's National Zoological Park. The Zoo was created in 1889 "for the advancement of science and the instruction and recreation of the people." Today’s zoo is a BioPark – featuring wildlife, natural history museums, botanic gardens, aquaria, and even art galleries to illustrate the splendor of all living things.
bulletThe Electronic Zoo. Looking for information about a specific animal? Take a field trip to the virtual zoo. This is an easy to use list of Internet sites about animals and veterinary resources.
bulletAudubon Field Trips.   The Audubon Society has a site that contains field trips about different species of birds.
bulletZoological Society of San Diego.  This site has everything but the sights and sounds of the zoo.  You can go on a cyber-safari or use the easy navigation menus to explore an area of interest to you.
bulletThe Belize Zoo.  This site has a lot of information on the zoo and the different regions that are in Belize.   This site is very informational, and the reptile pictures are really neat.
bulletThe Columbus Zoo.  This site is so full of information that you may want the spend the whole day just looking through it.   This lists many of the animal categories that the other zoos overlook.  This is a must see site!
bulletThe Philadelphia Zoo.  This site is great because it lists how to conserve our natural resources and the environment.   This can give you simple ideas on how to do your part to help the environment.   It even lists which animals are on the endangered list.  This is a must see site for informational purposes.
bulletThe Austin Zoo.  This site has an awesome "Big Cat Club" for those of you who are into large cats.  The graphics on this site are also really good.  It also spotlights some of the animals and gives alot of information on that animal.
bulletThe Oregon Zoo.  This site has a must see "Rhino Cam".  Also the "No Adults Allowed" section can give school children good information for school reports.  It also lists 101 things that you can do to save animals.
bulletThe Omaha Zoo. The Henry Doorly Zoo has been rated the number one zoo in the Midwest. The Henry Doorly Zoo has a 61' by 83' IMAX screen that shows daily screenings. The auditorium seats 358 people and because of the sloped seating, a persons view is never blocked. Also at this spectacular zoo there is an amazing cat complex, 1.5 acre rain forest, and an 850,000 gallon aquarium.
