Interview

Michael: Mr. Adler where were you born?

Mr. Adler: I was born in Vienna, Austria 1913.

Michael: What University did you go to?

Mr. Adler: I went to the University of Vienna.

Michael: When you came to America where did you work?

Mr. Adler: I worked at Zenith first.

Michael: How did you get the idea to make a wireless remote?

Mr. Adler: Zenith tried a few remotes, one was a cord remote, but they served as a safety hazard. Then they tried a remote that worked with light, but the TV reacted to the sunlight just as well as the remote.

Michael: How has this invention changed in the world?

Mr. Adler: Even though it made people a little lazier, I think people are possibly happier to just hit a button instead of getting up and changing the channel or volume.

Michael: What else is interesting about you?

Mr. Adler: I think it's interesting that I was in WWII with communication systems and I came to America and invented something that possibly could make people more lazy.

Michael: What was the effect of your invention.

Mr. Adler: By the early 1980's,   more than 9 million TV's , by Zenith and others, with my remote control system.

Michael: Thank you for your information you gave me it helped a lot

Mr. Adler: Sure any time.
