Theme ~ I chose Christmas for my theme. It is designed for first graders and would be best applied in December, around Christmas time. Some possible standards that might be addressed would be:

- Students will gain knowledge and understanding of other peoples and cultures through the study of the target language.
- Students should be able to compare the lives of people and events associated with major holidays, including Christmas.
- Students will use world
language to increase their understanding of the home language and
culture.
