The Desert

Theme -- I chose the desert for my theme.  It is for seventh grade students.  I think it could be used during anytime during the school year.  Possible standards that might be addressed include:

• recognize the need for organized classification systems in the study of plant and animal life

• explain the effects of environmental changes on dynamic equilibrium in physical and biological systems

• identify limiting factors that impact animal and plant populations
