Butterflies      

Theme 

I chose Butterflies for my theme.  It is for first grade students.  I think it would be best used in the spring.  Possible standards that might be addressed include:

• identify characteristics of plants and animals that allow them to live in specific environment

• describe life needs of animals, including people.

• trace and compare the life cycle of various organisms
