Christmas

Theme -- Christmas.  It is for first graders.  It will be best used especially in December or when Christmas is approaching.  Here are some possible standards that might be addressed:

    1.     Students should be able to compare the lives of people and events
           associated with major holidays, including Christmas.
    2.    Students should be able to locate the North Pole and using different
           directions such as North, South, East, and West.
    3.    Students should be able to listen, analyze, and describe different
           types of Christmas songs.
    4.    Students should be able to blend beginning, middle, and ending
           sounds to form words while reading Christmas stories.

Introduction:  This site would be a good introduction to a Christmas unit.
