Constellations and their Stars

Theme - I chose Constellations and their Stars for my theme. It would work best for grade 5-6. I fell it is a versatile topic because it opens up imaginations and can be used any time of the year.

Possible standards the theme may consist of are:

• explain the commonalties of mythical patterns and symbols found in literature from different eras and cultures.

• use investigations in science to serve different purposes.

• describe the variety of components of the solar system.

• explain how patterns of stars remain the same even though patterns appear to move
